How To Activate iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, 3G Without Original SIM

If you don’t have an original SIM card with which your iPhone is locked or not on an original network, then you will be left nowhere after you jailbreak iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, or 3G using JailbreakMe 2.0. Since this userland jailbreak does not hacktivate your phone, you need to somehow activate your iPhone using other means.

Sherif Hashim, the guy behind the exploit which made possible the unlock for baseband 05.12.01 and 05.13.04 has discovered that iTunes accepts pretty much any PhoneBook SIM card and lets you activate your phone with it. He has put up a video showing how to activate iPhone without original SIM.

You can get a PhoneBook SIM card in any electronics or mobile phone shops, or even online. Those of you who own an iPhone 4, make sure you either get a micro SIM or cut one into micro SIM card size before you go ahead and activate via iTunes.
