Amazon Kindle DX unveiled

As announced, Amazon has unveiled the latest in the Kindle series in a press conference in New York. Titled ‘Kindle DX’, this is a next generation e-reader with advanced features.

• As slim as a magazine: only 1/3rd of an inch
• Size 10.4″ x 7.2″ x 0.38″
• 9.7″ large screen display
• Auto-rotating screen from landscape to portrait and vice-versa upon turning the device
• 3.3 GB hard drive
• 3G wireless to download books from a large collection
• Built-in PDF reader, text-to-speech conversion

Currently it is available with a price tag of $489. Bookings are open on Amazon.com and the device will be available in summer on first-come, first-serve basis. The exact delivery time has not been given yet.
