Play Incompletely Downloaded DivX/AVI Files with DivFix++
How often did you get disappointed with the sudden interrupted download of that long awaited movie? DivX/AVI is one of the most commonly used formats for video files downloaded from internet. When an ongoing un-resumable download from a P2P network or an online sharing service like Rapidshare gets interrupted due to a broken connection, you may have to start it all over again. This is because incompletely downloaded DivX movies are .part files and cannot be played in any media player.
DivFix++ comes to your rescue in such situations. This free Divx/AVI repair utility fixes the incompletely downloaded movie by stitching up the missing index at the end of the file. You can choose to save the fixed version of the file separately without overwriting the original one. DivFix++ lets you preview the partially downloaded movie, so you can avoid all the frustration of not being able to take a peak at the video caused by a network error.

DivFix++ works in GUI and Command Line modes. Incomplete Files to be fixed can be added by dragging and dropping. Some of it’s repairing features include stripping the index completely, checking for basic errors, cutting out the bad parts from the file, and recovering from key frames.
DivFix++ is a cross-platform utility available for Windows, Linux and Mac.
