iOS 5 brings a host of new features, not all of which are available for older devices. For instance, 1st Gen iPad has been kept out of some enhancements, though it has good hardware capabilities. Newly added iOS 5 features such as multitasking gestures and video mirroring have not been enabled on iPad 1.
