Apple has released the GM (Gold Master) version of iOS 5 for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad, iPad 2, and iPod Touch 4G, 3G. This release comes almost 4 months after the first beta of iOS 5 was made available for Apple registered developers, back in June.
Final version of iOS 5 is just around the corner and until now, a host of iOS 5 Beta releases have taken place. The latest version of this OS for iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad includes many new features and enhancements over the previous 4.x.

Apple has released iOS 4.3.4 to fix the PDF security exploit used by JailbreakMe 3.0 to jailbreak iPad 2 on iOS 4.3.3. iPad 2 users who rely on a jailbreak are outright warned to stay away from the iOS 4.3.4 firmware update.
Apple has started seeding iOS 5 Beta 3 to developers, along with its companion, iTunes 10.5 Beta 3. Developers registered with Apple’s Standard or Enterprise program can right away download iOS 5 Beta 3 and test their applications.
After iOS 5 first Beta and Beta 2, Apple has now released iOS 5 Beta 3 (Build number 9A5259f) with some bug fixes and improvements. As with the previous builds, this one too is available for download for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad (1st Gen), iPad 2, iPod Touch 4G, and iPod Touch 3G.
Finally, JailbreakMe 3.0 (iPad 2 jailbreak) has been released by Comex, as expected. Based on a browser exploit, this jailbreak will work for you when you visit Jailbreakme.com on your iPad 2 running iOS 4.3.3. So if you are on an earlier version of iOS, then you need to first update your device to iOS 4.3.3 to go ahead with the jailbreak.
With the release of iOS 5 Beta 2, iH8sn0w has upgraded Sn0wbreeze 2.8 to Beta 3. This will jailbreak iOS 5 Beta 2 on iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. All iOS 5 supported devices can be jailbroken, except the second generation iPad 2.
