Ccleaner: Free Trash Cleaner

Upon use, your PC may become slow and sluggish. This is because Windows leaves behind lots of temporary files during it’s operation. Installation and uninstallation of software also leaves unwanted registry entries which tend to slow down start-up process. Hence it’s necessary to clean this trash every once in a while for running your PC in optimized condition.

Windows in-built Cleaner doesn’t remove all of these trash. Ccleaner comes to rescue. It is very light on system resources and fast in action. It removes most of the temporary files and also cleans traces of your online activities such as your Internet history. It is a freeware for both commercial and personal use.

Cleaner
This tool scans for unwanted files and then displays a it’s list upon ‘Analyze’.'Run Cleaner’ would then remove these files and show the gained hard-disk space.

Registry
Clicking ‘Scan for issues’ would display list of unwanted registry entries. Further ‘Fix selected issues…’ would fix those entries, making your start-up faster.

Uninstall: Ccleaner includes the ‘uninstall’ tool which can be used instead of Add/Remove Programs from Windows Control panel. Apart from uninstallation, this tool will also clean left over registry entires made by the uninstalled software.

Start-up: Some software installations also add a start-up entry to windows registry which increases the start-up time. Most of these can be started when needed. Ccleaner includes a simple interface to do this in a easy way. Disable the unnecessary start-up items carefully. We advice strongly not to disable start-up entries made by Windows System files and Security softwares.
