Create Bootable USB Drive For Windows 7/Vista/XP Using Koala
AdvertisementIf you are a Net book owner, chances are that your machine might not have an optical drive. So in scenarios where you want to install Windows 7, Windows Vista, or even Windows XP, you need to create a bootable USB flash drive. We already have posted the manual steps to install Windows 7 from USB drive, and also featured the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool released by Microsoft.
Here is another free tool, Koala, which has lot of options and is easy to use. This portable application comes with support for 6 languages, including English, Italian, Japanese, Arabic, Russian, and Korean. Using the program to create a bootable USB drive takes only a few clicks. Just browse and select the Windows 7/Vista/XP ISO file on your PC for the ‘Source’ and the USB drive for the ‘Destination’. Koala even helps you find your ‘Source’ and ‘Destination’ with the ‘Scan’ button.
You can choose to log the whole operation, shutdown or restart your system after the bootable USB is created, and even configure a countdown timer (default value of 10 seconds) for the shutdown/restart to begin. This application is definitely worth a try.

Koala requires NET Framework 2.0.
