Create, Use Custom Desktop Layouts With Windows Layout Manager

Are you really tired of placing and managing windows of programs/files/folders that you work with everyday on your desktop? While Windows 7 has it’s own set of Window docking shortcuts to quickly snap a window vertically or horizontally, it does not offer any flexible or advanced layout options. Any one who spends most of his/her time on PC would appreciate a tool which would let them snap windows and arrange them automatically as per their wish at the click of a button.

Well, here is such a tool, Windows Layout Manager (WiLMa for short) which gives you numerous options to create and use custom desktop layouts. You can either choose from the several default layouts that come with the application or go ahead and create your own. Some of the pre-defined layouts that come with this free program support multiple monitors/screens.

Windows Layout Manager can automatically capture the exact position and size of windows arranged on your desktop to create a custom layout profile for later use. This free and cool application sit’s in the system tray and gives you single click access to any of the pre-defined desktop layouts. You can also program hot keys to switch between layouts.

Windows Layout Manager has many advanced configuration options to define a layout profile using regular expressions to choose any of the currently displayed windows, to specify actions to be taken on the window such as minimizing, maximizing, moving to a different position, etc. A very useful tool worthy of trying for both basic as well as advanced PC users.
