How To Delete/Clear Google Search History
Do you know that when you are signed in to your Google account, all your browsing activity is stored in the form of web history? Strangely many are not aware of this Google History feature, or even if they are, they do not know how to clear this search history from their account.
Google Search History stores history of all the websites you visit, and then presents relevant Google search results depending on your browsing habits. Sometimes this feature is not desirable, because you don’t get to see the actual search results that Google would give. Also, it is very embarrassing if someone else find out all your browsing when you accidentally leave your PC without logging out of Google.
1. How To Delete Google History Permanently
If you are sure you would never want Google to track your browsing, then you can delete the Web History account by going to this page. You need to be signed in to access the page.

2. How To Remove Pages From Google Search History
1. Go to Google History page and sign in.
2. In the left panel, click ‘Remove items’. This will take you to the ‘Remove items from Web History..’ page in the right panel.
Advertisements3. Select check boxes of all those pages you want to delete and hit ‘Remove’.

3. How To Clear Entire Google History
You could clear out Google History completely by clicking ‘Clear entire Web History’ at the top. (See screenshot above).
4. How To Make Google Not Remember Your Search History
Say you don’t want to delete the Web History feature of Google, as described in Step 1, but at the same time don’t want Google to remember your browsing activity. In the left panel of Google History page, click ‘Pause’ (above ‘Remove items’ link). This will stop Google from further storing of history.
The Pause/Resume is a toggle, so you can easily stop and start history recording.

Note that deleting Google History does not stop your browser from storing history. Most browsers such as Firefox, IE8, Opera, Chrome support private browsing (kiosk mode). Or you could clear your browsing history from time to time or automatically when you exit the browser.
