Download and Watch YouTube, Hulu HD Videos for Free with Miro

There are many players and downloaders for video content on the Internet. However not all of them are HD (High Definition) capable. Miro is a free and open source video player and podcast client which can download and play full screen HD videos. Since it is integrates download and play capabilities, you don’t need any separate applications. With Miro’s inbuilt open source torrent program libtorrent, you can subscribe to and download BitTorrent RSS feeds.

Miro gives access to more than 6,000 free internet TV shows and video podcasts from sites like Hulu and YouTube. Using Miro Guide, which can be found on the left panel, you can add video feeds or sites and turn on the auto-download feature to get fresh content as it is posted. You can browse the Miro Guide by category, popularity, HD, or by search keywords. Added Videos can be set to be played continuously one after the other.

Organizing all the downloaded videos as well as the videos from your hard drive is easy with Miro. You can create video and channel playlists. Thumbnails can be created for videos. Any downloaded videos are deleted automatically a few days after watching them. This way your hard drive space is not hogged up while you still get to watch all the fresh videos. This setting can be changed to save the watched videos.

You can even publish your own videos, podcasts to Miro. All your feed subscriptions can be imported into any other feed reader in OPML format. You can even import video or audio podcasts from iTunes into Miro.
