Norton Live has released a free computer diagnostic tool. Called the Norton PC Checkup, the free program analyzes system performance, security and other problems by scanning 200 elements of your PC. A complete report of your your computer’s health can be saved.

This free product from Norton is more of promotional utility, encouraging PC users to upgrade to or purchase it’s security software rather than a giveaway. However both basic and advanced users might as well use this free tool to get an overall picture of their system and it’s problems. They can then choose to fix the problems yourself or call for remote assistance from Norton.

Norton PC Checkup runs weekly scans and working in the background. It detects virus, spyware, scans startup items, diagnoses wireless networking security, detects power management profiles and scans for Antivirus, Antispyware, Firewall software installed on your PC.
