Download YouTube, Metacafe, Google and other Videos in Firefox using NetVideoHunter Add-on

NetVideoHunter is a Firefox add-on (extension), which will let you download videos and music from most of the video sites like YouTube, MySpace, Metacafe, Google Video, Vimeo, Dailymotion, Break, Putfile, etc.


NetVideoHunter has a in a built-in media player which lets you preview videos and music before downloading them. It also has fullscreen and video smoothing functionalities. Most of the videos what you download with NetVideoHunter are in FLV (Flash Video) format. So you will need a player like VLC Media Player that can play FLV videos.


Right-Click Options

  • Copy URL: get the directlink to the video ( FLV ) or ( MP3 ) file with
  • Save from cache: save the file from the browser’s cache
  • Open source page: visit again the source webpage of the video or music


Works with Firefox 2.0 – 3.6a1pre(This add-on will work for the latest Firefox 3.5 version also.)
A restart of Firefox is required for the add-on to work.
