Enable Aero On Windows 7/Vista Home Basic PCs Using Aero Enabler
Aero is a feature in Windows Vista and Windows 7 which gives the unique translucent windows with glass effects and other special functions such as Aero Peek, Aero Shake etc. Unfortunately Windows Vista Home Basic, Windows 7 Home Basic, Windows Starter Edition users do not have access to Aero on their PCs. Here is a free tool which lets you force enable Aero on Home Basic Computers by tweaking the registry.
Aero Enabler lets you turn on/off Aero at the click of a button. What more, you can even skip the hardware requirements check that is normally performed by Windows 7 before enabling Aero. Click on the checkbox ‘Disable Hardware Check’ before you turn on Aero.
Windows 7 requires the following hardware in order to enable Aero:
DirectX 9 acceleration
AdvertisementsWDDM- compatible driver
128 MB of graphics memory
Pixel Shader 2.0 with 32 bit’s per pixel support
