Fix Exe File Launching A Different Program Problem In Windows 7, Vista
Are you facing problem in which a .exe file that you are running refuses to open correctly, and instead opens a different program that has no relation with it? The icon for the .exe file may also be different. Additionally, you may also get errors after the program starts. These problems are due to messed up .exe extension entries in Windows Registry.

The problem can be solved by editing the registry.

3. Double-click on the downloaded tool and run it.
4. You will have to restart PC for problem to get fixed.
