HTC Hero Sense UI Theme For Rooted Motorola Droid Phone
If you ever envied your friend or colleague’s HTC Hero with the ‘Sense UI’, here is a chance to get that innovative graphical interface on your Motorola Droid phone. ‘Sense UI’ includes features such as ‘Perspectives’ which connects email, contacts, social media automatically as well as native Flash support.
A forum member of AllDroid has given a hack for bringing a Sense UI like theme to your rooted Motorola Droid phone. You can now have all those attractive widgets including the flip clock, the weather widget, widget based multiple screens, skinned icons, etc on your Motorola Droid with firmware Android 2.0 or 2.0.1.

Note:
1. You need to first root your Motorola Droid phone if you haven’t already done so. Check out our article on How To Root Motorola Droid Phone With Android 2.0/2.0.1?
2. Since this theme works with MetaMorph, you need to first download and install this free app. MetaMorph, available in the Android market lets you theme your phone without having to reboot into recovery mode and flash any update. You can directly choose a downloaded theme from your sdcard and apply it to your phone.

3. Make a Nandroid back up before using MetaMorph.
4. Since this theme will overwrite the FaceBook.apk file in the /system/app/ folder, rename and push a new version of facebook from Android market to this folder.
Here are the steps:
1. Download HTC Hero Sense UI theme for Android Phone.
2. Copy the downloaded theme file into the folder ‘AndroidThemes’ on to your SD card.
3. Mount your SD card into the droid phone.
3. Run MetaMorph application. Choose the theme and apply it (all the .apk files).
That’s it! You will now have the stunning Sense UI like theme on your Droid phone.
