Get Windows 7 Superbar in Windows XP
AdvertisementThe newly designed Taskbar with the grouping of windows into 48×48 PNG icons and the thumbnail previews upon hovering is one of the biggest UI attractions in Windows 7. Now you can get these special effects for the Taskbar on your Windows XP PC with the help of ViGlance, a free utility.
While ViGlance does not implement all the functionality of Windows 7 Superbar, it is quite impressive in creating the Aero Peek effects in Windows XP. The transparency and transitional effects brought by this Utility to Windows XP seem as real as those on Windows 7. Even the Start button of Windows XP is replaced with the small and stylish windows icon.

ViGlance allows you to pin a program to the Taskbar with the right click option, which means that even if you close any instances of that program, you will still be able to see it’s icon on the Taskbar and quickly create an instance by clicking on it. Also, you can rearrange the icons on the taskbar by simple drag and drop. You can see this feature in action with our Windows 7 Taskbar Rearrange Icons demonstration video.
