Google adds experimental Search Box inside Gmail
Gmail Labs, the testing ground for Gmail, is experimenting with a new “Search” box for user’s convenience. On enabling this feature, a search box appears on the left side of the gmail page. This feature offers direct search results from google. That means you need not leave gmail inorder to search something in google. Presently, the search box at the top gives search results in a new window.
The experimental search box avoids this inconvenience. Just type the search terms in the box and hit enter to see the google results in the gmail interface, at the right bottom corner of the page. Currently the search results do not include sponsored links.

To enable this feature:
1. Click on “Settings” tab and click “Labs”
2. Scroll down the list to “Google Search”
3. Enable the feature
4. Save the preferences

Enjoy googling while mailing!
