Windows 7 has many new features, including desktop enhancements such as Aero Themes, Aero Shake, Aero Peek, the new Windows 7 Superbar, new keyboard shortcuts for increasing productivity, security enhancements such as Hard Drive and USB Flash Drive encryption using BitLocker.
Here is another such feature which integrates CD/DVD Burning capabilities into Windows 7, thus not requiring you to install any external software to burn ISO or IMG files.
Follow these steps to burn a disk from ISO or IMG file in Windows 7:
1. Insert a blank CD or DVD into your CD/DVD drive.
2. Right click on the ISO or IMG file select the option “Burn disc image“.
3. In the following Windows Disc Image Burner dialog, choose your CD/DVD drive from the drop down list of ‘Disc burner’ section.
4. In case you want Windows 7 to check the disc for errors after burning, check ‘Verify disc after burning’ option.
5. Click “Burn” to start burning the disc image.

That’s it. You are done. Windows 7 will now burn the ISO or IMG file to CD/DVD disc.
