How To Change Default Power Button Of Windows 7 Start Menu
Windows 7 shows “Shut down” option as the default Power Button action. You can change the action to your favorite choice such as Switch User, Lock, Restart, Sleep, Hibernate, and Shut down. Note that in Windows 7 Stand-by mode is renamed as ‘Sleep’.

To customize the default Power Button Action :
1. Right-click on the Start menu button and choose “Properties”.
2. Click on “Start Menu” tab.
3. Click on drop down list of “Power button action”.
4. Select your choice of Power Options from Switch User, Lock, Restart, Sleep, Hibernate, and Shut down.

5. Click ‘OK’.
Now the selected option will be displaced as the Power action button.
