How To Customize Firefox Navigation ToolBar
Firefox has many customization options for it’s navigation Toolbar. This is the Toolbar which has the navigation buttons like Back, Forward, Refresh and also the Address (location) bar, Search bar. Let us see what all ways we can customize the Navigation Toolbar.
How to reduce the size of the icons on the Toolbar?
- Right-click anywhere either on the Menu Toolbar or the Navigation Toolbar and Choose ‘Customize‘ or go to View->Toolbars->Customize.
- The ‘Customize Toolbar’ window appears. Tick the ‘Small Icons‘ option on this window and you will see the difference.
How to add/remove Toolbar buttons in Firefox?
- Go to ‘Customize Toolbar‘ window.
- Drag and drop the button you like to add from the ‘Customize Toolbar’ window on to the navigation bar.
- In order to remove an existing button on the bar, drag and drop the button from the Navigation toolbar onto the ‘Customize Toolbar’ window.
- Add ‘Separator’ or ‘Space’ between the buttons as desired.
In the demonstration video below you can see that we removed the ‘Home‘ button and added the ‘New Tab‘ button to the navigation bar.
You can also rearrange all the items on the navigation bar as you like. For example you can place the ‘Refresh‘ and ‘Stop‘ buttons between the address (location) bar and the search bar. Or even interchange the positions of the address bar and the search bar. Just drag and drop. All dragging and dropping is allowed by Firefox only in the customization mode, when the ‘Customize Toolbar’ window is being displayed.
