How To Disable Windows Update For Non-Administrator Users In Windows 7
By default, Windows 7 can download and install Windows Operating System Updates regardless of the User account type who is logged in. If you are the Administrator of your PC and would like Windows 7 to download and install automatic updates only when user with administrator privileges is logged in, then follow these steps:
1. Start > Type “Windows Update” in the Program search box and hit enter.
2. In the Windows Update interface, click on “Change Settings” link located in the left panel.
3. In the “Recommended updates” section, look for “Who can install updates” option.
4. Uncheck “Allow all users to install updates on this Computer” option.

5. Click “OK”.
You are done. Windows 7 will now download and install updates only when an User with Administrator rights logs in to your PC.
