How to Enable / Disable Aero Shake in Windows 7?
Windows 7 has this fun feature called “Aero Shake” using which you can easily minimize all inactive windows by shaking the active window. If you have not yet seen this feature check out our article “How to Minimize all Inactive windows using Aero Shake in Windows 7?” For some reason if you want this feature to be disabled, go ahead and follow the steps below:
How to Turn OFF Aero Shake in Windows 7?
1. Login to Windows 7 as an Administrator.
2. Type gpedit.msc in the Start menu search box and press enter to launch the Local Group Policy Editor.
3. In the left panel’s tree view of Local Group Policy Editor window, propagate to:
Local Computer Policy –> User Configuration –> Administrative Templates –> Desktop –>
4. Double click on “Turn off Aero Shake window minimizing mouse gesture”.
5. In the following Window, select the radio button “Enabled”.
6. Click Apply and then OK.
You are done with disabling Aero Shake in your Windows 7 PC.
To Enable Aero Shake again, follow steps 1 to 4. In step 5, choose “Not Configured” and click OK.
