How to increase size of Toolbar icons in Internet Explorer 8?
Command bar is one of Internet Explorer’s toolbars. This toolbar which holds the opened tabs and icons is displayed below the main Menu bar of Internet Explorer. You can customize it in several ways such as adding or removing Buttons from the Toolbar, showing/hiding text on the Toolbar buttons, resizing the Toolbar, changing the size of the Toolbar icons etc.
Here we shall see how to change the Toolbar icon size. By default Internet Explorer 8 comes with smaller icons for the Toolbar.

How to increase Toolbar icon size?
1. Right click anywhere on the Toolbar.
2. Choose ‘Customize’.
3. In the following menu, select ‘Use Large Icons’. A check mark should now appear to the
left of this option.
You should now be able to see large icons as shown in the screenshot below:

How to decrease Toolbar icon size?
Changing icon size for Toolbar is a toggle feature. This means you will have to repeat the same steps as given above and uncheck the ‘Use Large Icons‘ option.

thanks a lot for this tip. up until now i had no clue that internet explorer icons can increase in size!
