How to open links in a new tab in Internet Explorer 8?

By default, Internet Explorer 8 opens most of the webpage links in a new window. In order to make these links open in a New Tab follow these steps:

1. Go to Tools –> Internet Options

2. In the ‘General‘ tab look for the section which says ‘Change how webpages are displayed in tabs’.

3. Click on ‘Settings‘ in this section.

4. In the ‘Tabbed Browsing Settings‘, choose ‘Always open pop-ups in a new tab‘.

5. Click OK to apply
