How to show Hidden Drives in Windows 7

By default Windows 7 hides drives which are not currently in use.
In order to display these empty drives,

  • Go to Control Panel → Folder Options
  • Click on the “View” tab
  • Uncheck “Hide empty drives in the Computer folder.” (see below screenshot)
