How To Show Or Hide Desktop Icons In Windows 7
No matter how hard you try, your computer’s Desktop tends to get cluttered with lot of shortcut icons, files, folders etc. For Windows XP users, there are tools such as the DeskDuster which sit’s in the system tray and gives right click access to show or hide desktop icons at will. Windows 7 users however do not need any such tools as Show/Hide Desktop Icons is now built-in into the OS.
Right click on your desktop, and select View. Uncheck ‘Show desktop icons’ and magically your desktop becomes clear of any items. The icons are not removed from the desktop, only hidden till you choose to show them back again.
For getting back the icons on your desktop, repeat the same process, this time Check ‘Show desktop icons’.
