How To Turn Off All Sounds In Windows 7 Automatically On Call
Windows 7 has so many exciting and new features. We have already covered many of them, such as the drive encryption using BitLocker, Favorites, a new Start Menu, federated search, Aero Shake, customizable power button, easy to use shortcuts for taskbar icons, etc. You can check out all these articles in our Windows 7 section. Here is another new feature in Windows 7– the Communications tab of Sound settings.
Most users who use VoIP clients or IMs such as Skype or Yahoo Messenger for their phone calls would have faced the problem of system sounds interfering with their conversations while they browse or navigate their PC. While Windows 7 reduces all such sounds by 80% whenever it detects that you are on a phone call, you may want to completely turn them off for good. Here is how you can do it.
1. Go to Start Menu –> Control Panel –> Sound.
2. In the Communications tab of Sound, click on Mute all other sounds under the section When Windows detects communications activity.
From now on you don’t have to worry about a pop-up causing you to jump and close it when you are in the middle of a serious call with your client about your ongoing project! Enjoy your hassle free VoIP calls on Windows 7.
