Windows Movie Maker is a commonly used video editing application for making home videos. After switching to Windows 7, Windows XP and Windows Vista users may be wondering as to whatever happened to the Windows Movie Maker. Well, Windows Movie Maker has been replaced by Microsoft with Windows Live Movie Maker, a software which is different in it’s features and functionality.

Though Windows Live Movie Maker has been especially designed to take advantage of Windows 7’s advanced architecture and includes many advanced features such as slideshows, live previews etc, XP and Vista users may still want to have Windows Movie Maker, their old familiar program.
