Apple has released the GM (Gold Master) version of iOS 5 for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad, iPad 2, and iPod Touch 4G, 3G. This release comes almost 4 months after the first beta of iOS 5 was made available for Apple registered developers, back in June.
iOS 5 was first premiered in the WWDC 2011 event that took place in San Francisco. Seven beta releases of iOS 5 have so far taken place. A public release is not so far away (October 12), so this is the last iOS 5 build aimed at developers.
For the unaware, a GM build is available for download through Apple’s website, for those registered under the standard or enterprise program. In order to install iOS 5 firmware on your device, you need to first register your device UDID.
