Jailbreak for iPhone 3GS Free download

A jailbreak for the iPhone 3GS is now available, not from the expected iPhone Dev Team, but a hacker by the name George Hotz. The jailbreak is codenamed purplera1n (purplerain). Jailbreaking allows the installation of third-party software which is not approved by Apple’s App Store, on the iPhone .

A drawback of purplera1n is that it is not yet available for Windows 7. Currently it supports only Windows XP and Windows Vista and requires iPhone with the latest 3.0 Firmware. Also you need to have the iTunes (latest version is 8.2) installed on your PC.

Installation Instructions:

• Download the application.
• Connect your iPhone to your PC.
• Click “make it ra1n“.
• On bootup, run Freeze, the purplera1n installer app.

Note: Since this is a Beta application, make sure to take a backup your data before running the installer. Also if Cydia doesn’t show up after running Freeze, reboot.
