Jailbreak iOS 4.3.4 (Tethered) with Redsn0w 0.9.8b3
Apple has released iOS 4.3.4 to fix JailbreakMe 3.0 PDF exploit that is used to jailbreak iPad 2 on iOS 4.3.3. This firmware update does not bring in any new features or enhancements. It only closes the PDF security exploit in Mobile Safari browser, so that hackers cannot inject malicious (or jailbreak) code into iPad 2 and get its root access.
The iPhone Dev Team have released a new version of their flagship jailbreak tool for Windows and Mac. Redsn0w 0.9.8b3 brings support for iOS 4.3.4. However this jailbreak is tethered, which means you will have to connect your device to your Computer and run Redsn0w in ‘tethered mode’ each time you reboot it.
iPad 2 jailbreakers, of course, are warned to stay away from iOS 4.3.4. For the rest of the users (iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad 1, iPod Touch 4G, ipt 3G), let us remind you once again that iOS 4.3.4 will result in loss of an untethered jailbreak. Currently only iOS 4.3.3 has an untethered jailbreak in the form of PwnageTool 4.3.3 (Mac), Sn0wbreeze 2.7, Redsn0w 0.9.6rc16.
