Easily Switch between different Network Configurations with NetSetMan
Every time you bring your laptop to your work or college or even to your parents’ house when you visit them on a weekend, you will have to manually configure your system’s network settings in order to connect to the Internet. Isn’t this tiring, especially if you have to do this daily? What if you could simply save all the network settings and switch between them at the snap of a finger?
NetSetMan is a freeware which allows you to easily change your computer’s network configuration.
This free for personal use software lets you save up to 6 different network profiles including all the LAN information such as IP address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, DNS server, and also some additional settings such as Printer, SMTP, Workgroup etc.
By including custom scripts, you can write and execute scripts to start your favorite programs such as Firefox, Outlook etc each time you switch between configurations. NetSetMan has a tabbed interface with each of the pre-configured network profiles in their own tab. So you can quickly switch between any of the 6 configurations with a couple of clicks.
You can take a backup of your network profiles by saving the settings.ini file. Other features include display of the current network settings in the system tray, switching between profiles from the tray, multilingual support, mapping of network drives, command line mode, and easy customization of the pre-configured profiles including renaming, saving as Favorite etc.
