How To Show Thumbnails Of Open Tabs (Visual Tabs) In Opera [Mini Tip]


So you have downloaded and installed the latest version of Opera, 10.5 final and already started wondering how you could get that fabulous visual tabs in the tab bar? By default Opera does not show thumbnails in tab bar, it only shows the favicon and the title of the web page.

Visual tabs is a unique feature of Opera, and pretty much loved by all it’s users. Here is how you can display thumbnails in the tab bar:

1. First make sure that thumbnails are enabled for tabs. Right click on the tab bar and select ‘Customize’ –> ‘Enable Thumbnails in Tabs’ is checked.

2. Place your mouse on the lower base line of the tab bar, and wait till you see a drag handle

3. Drag the tab bar down, till you get to see the whole thumbnail of the currently open web page. You can adjust the height of the thumbnail by dragging the tab bar baseline up or down.
