MPlayer Ported To Android [Download]
Mplayer is one of the popular movie player used for playing almost all video formats including HD video on computer. An android developer went ahead and ported the MPlayer for Android. MPlayer for android can play all the video formats that the original program for computer does.

The app is still in development stage and hence the developer of this free app has not yet released it to Android market. However, Off-market app of MPlayer in APK format can still be downloaded and tested in your android device.

During our tests, MPlayer worked in our Samsung Galaxy S phone with few bugs. AVI video playback worked flawlessly but MP4 and 3GP playback was shaky. Features include support for subtitle format, use of libfaad2 and libmad for AAC and MP3 decoding and stream URL support.
