NexusImage – Portable Image Viewer With Background Screen Dimming

While there are several powerful image viewer software, sometimes you just want a basic one that lets you quickly browse and view photos. NexusImage is a portable and light image viewer tool that gives you distraction free photo viewing by dimming your desktop.

Since there is no need for installation, you can carry this program anywhere on your USB flash drive. Simply run the program and open a picture by drag and drop or by right clicking on NexusImage and selecting File –> Open (Ctrl +O). The program automatically recognizes and displays all pictures present in that folder in a vertical thumbnail strip at the right of your desktop.

You can browse the images in the folder using arrow keys or keyboard shortcuts ( Pg Up or Pg Down), zoom in or out (Num + or Num -), and  rotate the image left or right . Right click and select Tools –> Rotate Left (Right) or keyboard shortcuts Ctrl + Left (Right) to rotate the images.

The screen dimness can be adjusted by going to View –> Desktop Dim Level… (Alt + D). Adjust the slider to the desired level, while previewing the dimming level of your desktop.

With NexusImage, you can view most of the image files including JPEG, GIF, BMP, PNG, TIFF, ICO, WMF, EXF, etc.
