Search suggestions help you to find out common phrases that other people have searched for. This feature is offered by the search engines (such as Google, Yahoo, Bing etc.) and not by Firefox. Firefox merely retrieves the search suggestions from the search engines, and displays the list. By default Firefox comes enabled with Search Suggestions. In the below screenshot, you can see that Firefox shows ‘suggestions‘ besides the first item in the drop down list.

Internet Explorer 8 has a feature called Quick Tabs which lets you see thumbnails of all opened web sites. The Quick Tabs button provides a miniature visual view of all your open tabs thus making it easier to find the webpage that you want to view.This button is only displayed when you have more than one webpage open.

When you browse the web, browsers store lot of information in the form of webpage history, temporary internet files, cookies. All this information can later be retrieved and could prove to be harmful to your privacy. This scenario is very possible when you browse the web in an internet cafe or kiosk and forget to delete the information. A new feature of Internet Explorer 8 called InPrivate Browsing lets you surf the web without leaving any information behind.

A new Firefox Add-on for Bing is officially provided by the Bing team of Microsoft. By installing this Add-on, you can search on Bing.com from the Search Box of Firefox. Bing is a search engine launched by Microsoft that replaced their Live Search. It has a different approach from it’s predecessor in that it finds and organizes the answers you need so you can make faster, more informed decisions.
