Sn0wbreeze 2.0.1 was earlier released with a fix for iTunes error 37. Now a new version of Sn0wbreeze, 2.0.2 has been released fixing Error 17, Error 40 and other hacktivation issues. Similar to PwnageTool for Mac OSX, Sn0wbreeze 2.0.2 lets you build custom firmware without upgrading baseband. This way, you can still unlock your iPhone 3GS, 3G after jailbreaking it on iOS 4.1.

Now that you can jailbreak iPhone 3G on iOS 4.1 using Redsn0w 0.9.6 Beta, you can enable Game Center natively on your iPhone 3G iOS 4.1 which is otherwise not possible. Even though iPhone 3G is well capable of running Game Center, Apple has not enabled it in iOS 4.1. Only iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 2G or later on iOS 4.1, and iPad on iOS 4.2 are currently supported by Game Center. (more…)

For those of you with an iPhone 3GS on iOS 4.2, you don’t have to downgrade iOS 4.2 to 4.0.x just to jailbreak your device. MSFT guy has released PwnageTool bundle which can jailbreak iOS 4.2 on iPhone 3GS (old bootrom). iOS 4.2 does not yet have a jailbreak, similar to iOS 4.1. Also it brings a baseband update (2.10.04), which is currently not supported by Ultrasn0w. So we advise you to stay away from this update if you want to keep your jailbreak and unlock. Now for the rest of you guys who have already updated to iOS 4.2, here is how you can downgrade it to iOS 4.1/iOS 4.0.1/iOS 4.0.2/iOS 4 on iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, 3G. (more…)
