Paint.Net: Free Image Editing Software

Paint.Net is a free image editing software and a good alternative to Adobe Photoshop. Basic users who would like to resize, quick edit the images will find it’s interface easy to use. Paint.NET has a simple tabbed interface with thumbnails of all open image documents. This free image editor supports layers, special effects such as Blurring, sharpening, red-eye removal, distortion, noise, and embossing. It even includes a 3D Rotate/Zoom effect that adds perspective and tilting to pictures.

Apart from simple tools for drawing shapes, splines or Bezier curves, Paint.NET includes advanced and powerful tools such as the Magic Wand for selecting regions of similar color, the
Clone Stamp for copying or erasing portions of an image, Gradient tool etc. It also has zoom, recolor and text tools. Paint.NET supports unlimited Undo and Redo functionality and automatic updates.
