How To Perform NANDROID Backup In Samsung Galaxy S I9000 On Android 2.3.3 XXJVK ROM
The recent leaked official Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread ROM (XXJVK) for the Samsung Galaxy S i9000 is one of the best and widely used ROM for Galaxy S owners till date. Now that many of you have installed this ROM, you may want to perform a NANDROID backup of it so that you can recover to the backup state while testing or playing with other ROMs. Here is how you can perform the Nandroid Backup.
NANDROID BACKUP IN GALAXY S I9000 WITH ANDROID 2.3.3 XXJVK ROM
Prerequisites
1. If you have not yet installed the leaked ROM, follow our guide: “Install Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread On Samsung Galaxy S I9000”.
2. You need to have Samsung Drivers or Kies installed on your computer for a successful USB connection between the computer and phone.

Instructions
1. Firstly, you need to install ClockworkMod Recovery on your Galaxy S. Follow our guide “Install ClockworkMod Recovery On Samsung Galaxy S Running Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread (XXJVK)”
2. After CWM is installed, tap on it and launch it.

3. Tap on “Backup” and then enter the backup name. By default, the backup will get saved with the Date and Time stamp name as shown in screen-shot below.

4. Your Galaxy S will now boot into ClockworkMod Recovery and then will perform the complete backup of the phone. Then will automatically reboot into Home screen.

5. Connect the phone to computer and mount the USB storage on your computer. Browse through Removable Disk (X:) –> “clockworkmod”—> “backup” –> “Backup name”. That is the folder where all the NANDROID backup data is stored. You may copy it to your computer for use while recovery.

HOW TO RESTORE NANDROID BACKUP
To restore the backup, open CWM on your phone, tap on Restore and then select the Nandroid backup. Tap OK to finish installing the NANDROID Backup.
