How To Quickly Find BIOS Information Of Your Windows PC

There are instances in where you may want to know your system BIOS (Basic Input Output System) information. System administrators need this information often. When we say BIOS info, we are speaking about BIOS version number, it’s Brand name and date of release of that version. This information is needed to keep your computer BIOS up-to-date.

Using command prompt, you can easily dig this information out of Windows.

1. Click Start –> All Programs –> Accessories –> Command prompt

2. In the Command Prompt Window, type “systeminfo” and press enter.

3. Windows will now scan your system and in a while will present you with detailed information of your computer.

BIOS-Info

Look for BIOS Version in it. BIOS information displayed is in the format: Manufacturer, BIOS version, BIOS release date.

Apart from BIOS information, it also displays a lot of other useful system information including OS Version, OS installation date, System Boot time, System Model info and more.
