Recover Firefox Passwords Using FirePassword
Firefox lets you store usernames and passwords for all the websites that you visit, so that you don’t need to re-enter the same information again. This information is stored in an encrypted format and can be viewed only using Firefox’s built-in password manager. In case of a Firefox crash, it’s very difficult to recover all the stored passwords.
FirePassword is a free command line utility, which lets you easily decrypt the username and password list from Firefox sign-on database. While you can view all the stored passwords using Firefox itself, FirePassword may come as a rescue in situations when you are unable to fix the current Firefox installation or install a new one without losing the data. Also FirePassword lets you restore passwords across different profiles as well as operating systems (such as Linux, Mac etc).
