How To Get Back Recycle Bin On Windows 7 Desktop

Some laptop or PC manufacturers give custom desktop setup, such as a dock to launch applications, custom themes etc. Due to this you will find that the Recycle Bin or Computer is no longer to be found on your Windows 7 desktop.We have already shown a small trick to get back My Computer on your Windows 7 desktop. Here is how you can get back Recycle Bin, or other desktop icons like Control Panel on your Windows 7 PC:

1. Right click on the desktop and select ‘Personalize’.

2. Click on ‘Change desktop icons’ in the left hand panel. If you find that this is disabled, then you might want to first enable changing desktop icons.  Show_desktop_icons_recycle_bin_Windows_7

3. Select all the icons you want to display on your Desktop. The icons include Computer, Network, Recycle Bin, User’s Files, and Control Panel. In case you do not want themes to change the desktop icons, unselect the option ‘Allow themes to change desktop icons’.

4. Click OK to save changes.

That’s it. You will now find Recycle Bin on your Windows 7 desktop. You can any time hide or show your desktop icons by right clicking on desktop and unselecting the checkbox option View –> ‘Show desktop icons’.
