Search Google and Wolfram together from Firefox Search bar
Do you often toggle between Google and Wolfram Alpha to get information? Then you may like to get both the search results displayed side by side on a single page. Even if you are not a researched looking for data from both the search engines, you may still like to have a comparative display of search results from the two engines. You can do this from Firefox search bar itself with Goofram, a Firefox Add-on.
With Goofram extension installed on your Firefox, a new entry is added to the list of search providers in it’s search box. When you can search from the search bar in the normal way using Goofram, search results are displayed in it’s home page www.goofram.com.

Wolfram Alpha was launched with much hype built around it in May 2009. It was wrongly portrayed as a competitor to Google, while actually it is a computational knowledge engine which is more useful to scientists, mathematicians and researchers. For many commonly searched terms like for example, Windows 7, Firefox etc Wolfram Alpha does not come up with expected results (it thinks Firefox is a movie starring Clint Eastwood!). However it does recognize websites by pulling out information from Alexa.
Works with: Firefox: 3.0, 3.5, 3.5.1
