Called ‘Send to Google Docs’, the extension places itself as a toolbar icon after installation. In order to capture a web page, simply click on the Google Docs icon in Chrome’s toolbar. The icon changes to one which shows that processing is going on. Send to Google Docs uses PDFMyURL’s services to convert the web page into PDF. Once done, the PDF file will open up in Google Docs, in a new tab (see below screenshot).
Note that you need to be logged in to your Google Docs account, for Send to Google Docs to work. You can also upload images, PDF files, or SWF (Flash) objects by opening them in a new tab and hitting the toolbar button. Once the uploading is successful, you will see a smiley face on the toolbar icon. An error in sending is shown as an exclamation mark.
