With Microsoft Outlook you have a calendar well integrated with your Inbox so you can easily send and receive reminder mails. However if you want to use it’s calendar for your personal stuff such as bill payments, appointments etc, Outlook is not a good choice. Easy Calendar is a free Windows Calendar Software which has an easy to use and intuitive interface.

This free reminder application lets you directly add notes and events to it’s Calendar by simply typing in the boxes without any need to fill up lengthy forms. You can choose the view the calendar by Month, Week or Day by right-clicking anywhere on it. By selecting the text of an event/note and clicking on the Repeat Weekly Again toolbar button (which shows JAN 1) you can easily replicate the event the next week. 

Also right-click shortcuts to Today, Previous Month and Next Month give you easy and quick browsing of the calendar. You can add reminders, even recurring ones with an optional sound notification. Easy Calendar lets you view and manage reminders in the Reminders Table, change their properties and order of occurrence.

The US Holidays tab provides a comprehensive list, along with one click selection of Legal and Public holidays. Other features include finding and replacing text inside notes/events/reminders, keyboard shortcuts to go to next, previous day/month/year, custom user commands (up to 10), text formatting including font colors, exporting of calendar to HTML, printing etc.
