Convert Images To Icons With Drag And Drop Using ToYcon

If you often need to convert images to Icons, then you may find doing this job from professional Image Editors such as Paint.Net or Adobe Photoshop a very tedious process. Bulk processing of images can be done through such software easily. However if you just wished to convert images as you come across them, then these bulky software are not the right choice.

ToYcon gives you a very easy way to convert images into ICO files at a snap of a finger. Simply drag and drop into this cool application and your images are converted into Icons. ToYcon is a very small tool which does not require any installation. Create a shortcut on your Desktop to the exe file and you are set to drag and drop your way into making Icons!

This free tool has a lot of options hidden underneath the box! Right click on ToYcon and you will be surprised to see the number of options. You can change the  conversion type of images, specify image size and formats, choose from 14 different languages and set preferences to show ToYcon always on the desktop or minimize it to system tray.

Apart from converting PNG, JPG, BMP, TGA and GIF images into ICO files, ToYcon also supports conversion of ICO into PNG. All converted images are placed in the same folder as the original images by default. You can choose to save the converted image in a folder of your choice after you drop it by selecting ‘choose destination’ from the Options menu.

ToYcon lets you quickly choose between 64×64, 128×128 and 256×256 Icon Sizes from the right click context menu. Also, you can specify the image formats like size (4,8,32 bit’s) and colors of the converted Icons. ToYcon supports embedded PNG compression for Windows Vista.
Note: Since icons are square, your images should be cropped properly to achieve the best result.
