Turn On/Off Aero Peek And Adjust Delay Time Using Desktop Peek Tweak
Aero Peek is a Windows 7 feature which lets you preview your desktop by simply hovering your mouse over the right edge of the taskbar. This is very useful, to get a quick glance at one of your desktop gadgets such as a feed reader, weather monitor, etc. Sometimes you may want to turn off Aero Peek when your laptop is running on battery, or wish to change it’s delay time for avoiding accidental ‘Peeks’.
Desktop Peek Tweak is a free and portable program which lets you do both. With a single click, you can turn on/off Aero Peek and adjust it’s slider to set a delay time between ‘Instant’ and 3 seconds. Normally if you were to enable or disable Aero Peek manually, you will have to right click on your taskbar, select Properties and use the check box titled ‘Use Aero Peek to preview the desktop‘ in the ‘Taskbar’ tab. The delay timer tweak will need a registry hack, if you were to do it manually.
