Unlock For iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G Baseband 05.14.02 Release Confirmed!

We all know that an unlock for baseband 05.14.02/2.10.04 is in works and is expected soon afteriOS 4.2 final version is out. Now here is the confirmation from iPhone Dev Team member MuscleNerd, who tweeted about the upcoming Ultrasn0w unlock for iOS 4.1 and iOS 4.2 on iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G.

Unlock For iPhone 3GS, 3G Baseband 05.14.02

iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G users on baseband 05.14.02, good news for you! An unlock for your device will be out in a day or 2 after iOS 4.2 (expected in November 2010, which is pretty soon from now) is out.

@MuscleNerd: @simplysaru if you’re on 3G or 3GS, just a day or 2 at most after 4.2 is public (just enough time to verify stuff)

This one comes after the recent tweet from MuscleNerd in which he said that unlock for iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G is 100% confirmed, and that they are working on the A4 part of it (iPhone 4 has a different architecture from 3GS or 3G).

iPhone 4 Unlock For Baseband 2.10.04

iPhone 4 users who are on baseband 2.10.04, well you will have to wait for a confirmation, as your device is not mentioned by MuscleNerd. We expect iPhone 4 unlock to release a few days after the iPhone 3GS/3G unlock is out.  It may take a while for the iPhone Dev Team to hack their way into iPhone 4 baseband, which is different from 3GS or 3G.
