How To Unlock Motorola Xoom Bootloader

Here are step-by-step instructions on how to unlock Motorola Bootloader so that you can flash or root the device.

PREREQUISITES
1. You need to have Fastboot tool. The tool is a part of ADB Setup on your computer.
2. Motorola Drivers should be installed on your computer. Make sure you download the drivers according to your computer OS type.

UNLOCK PROCEDURE
1. Power off your Motorola Xoom.
2. Press and hold the Volume Down button while pressing the Power button until the device boots into fastboot mode.
3. Now connect your Xoom to computer via USB connection.
4. On your computer, launch “Command Prompt” and type the following:
fastboot oem unlock
5. You may read the warning on your Motorola Xoom’s screen, then press the Volume Up button if you wish.
That’s it! You have successfully unlocked your Motorola Xoom. You may now enjoy flashing things or start rooting your Xoom.
