Update On Unlock For iPhone 4 Baseband 2.10.04/3.10.01

iOS 4.3 final version is out and the question on every one’s mind is when will the iPhone Dev Team release the unlock for iPhone 4 basebands 2.10.04 and 3.10.01. As you may be already aware, the Dev Team have announced that they will release the unlock after iOS 4.3 is out for the public.

MuscleNerd has given a status update on the iPhone 4 unlock. His tweet will certainly disappoint unlockers who have been waiting for months for this day.

Sorry, there’s no news on the i4 unlock for those who lost 01.59 (or never had it). It’s taking longer than we wanted

In a reply to a Twitter follower who asked if there will be an unlock for iPhone 4 in the next few days, MuscleNerd replied:

@saadwasiq definitely not from us (but that’s exactly the kind of question I obviously can’t keep replying to )

But there’s no need to feel let down. The Dev Team have not given up on the iPhone 4 unlock.

@dodgebizkit thanks…we’ll also tell you if we ever just give up on it…(I don’t see that happening though!)

When Will The iPhone 4 Unlock Release?

If you are wondering when the unlock would ever release, then the iPhone Dev Team have no clue about it. In reply to a user who asked how long it would take to release the unlock , MuscleNerd replied saying that it is something they do not know.

They were making good progress on the unlock till they realized that it was SIM dependent. It worked on some SIMs and did not work on others. They do understand the reason for this behavior, but do not have a solution to make the unlock work for all SIMs.

Also MuscleNerd has warned all current Ultrasn0w unlockers who managed to be on baseband 1.59.00 to STAY AWAY from iOS 4.3 update.
